Most popular are my treescapes, formed by twisting and shaping black wire into life-like, dancing tree shapes. Single or multiple trees are mounted on bases of natural wood or shelf fungus and decorated with stones, nuts, dried plant materials, miniature shelf fungus to create a variety of landscapes. Natural recycling. I also create decorative pieces crafted from quirky materials harvested from thrift stores and antique shops…from rusty bed springs to weathered cheese graters and warped print drawers to colorful fish floats. With shelves and baskets of these misfits invading every room in my home, I’m on a continuous mental trek to find ways to unite them…to give them new life and an appreciative home.
