I’m a girl with a love of all things natural who learned from growing up on a farm in Southern DE that making things the authentic way, makes for a superior, healthier product. Unfortunately, I discovered that this belief was not shared by the majority of the skin care industry as so many products I tried would cause a reaction to my skin. I also found that I was not alone.

I began to research soap-making and discovered the authentic method was “cold process” whereby fats and lye, combined in the proper ratio, create a chemical reaction called saponification. As the lye is neutralized, soap is produced which includes glycerin, a wonderful byproduct which moisturizes, softens, protects and even aids in healing skin. Commercial soap makers extract all the natural byproducts, including glycerin, and sell them because of their high value. Even worse, they then replace all that natural goodness with chemicals.

Knowing I could formulate natural alternatives, I combined my love of creating recipes and artistic skills along with my business/marketing degree and birthed Love, Byrd. Soap. My artistry formulates a one-of-kind essential oil blend and creates it into a visually beautiful and luxurious soap, designed to complement each aroma. In choosing a company name, I wanted one with meaning, so I chose Love, Byrd. Soap to honor my parents. If you look closely at each label, you will see a love letter from my Father, Byrd to my Mother, with the salutation – Love, Byrd. It is a fitting tribute to my parents who gave me Love, a strong foundation and the inspiration to believe I can do anything. Love, Byrd. Soap is my love letter to your skin and the skin of those you love.
