As a wood turner, I create pieces that range from functional objects, like bowls and platters, to decorative forms and ornaments. All of my pieces feature a focus on the natural beauty of the wood, emphasizing the grain patterns, color variations, and organic textures found within the material, celebrating the unique characteristics of each piece.

Highlighting the uniqueness of each piece of wood, I strive to create pieces that are both decorative and functional. Whether it is a live-edge bowl, decorative vase or a holiday ornament, each wood-turned piece is crafted highlighting the uniqueness of the wood that composes it. All pieces are food safe and with the exception of the ornaments, can be used as decor or a functional vessel for food or flower arrangements.

I appreciate all art forms and spent my educational career sharing various art forms with the students of my school. Woodturning has always intrigued me, as each piece is unique and is takes shape based on the wood that composes it. Just as with students and their education, an artist helps find a wooden piece’s innate strength and capabilities when you can look within and help shape it to become something truly amazing.
